Langford Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Chicago
Wednesday, September 10th , 2025
Oakland left fielder Wyatt Langford experienced something against the Chicago Explorers he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game.

The Explorers pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 24 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Roses to a 2-0 victory at Baron's Ballyard.

"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 24-game hitting streak," Langford joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories."

To date Langford has chalked up a .304 average with 18 home runs, driven in 63 runs and scored 76 times.
