Edwards Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Carolina Thursday, September 11th , 2025 Cincinnati Stars third baseman Xavier Edwards finally met his Waterloo. A 29-game hitting spree is now history after Edwards was unable to make anything happen in 4 at-bats today against the Carolina Riptides. Fortunately for Edwards and the Stars, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 4-3. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 29 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." Currently Edwards has 4 home runs and a .294 batting average. |
