Big Day for Arias: Swats 5 Hits Sunday, September 14th , 2025 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Gabriel Arias, it came around today. The 25-year-old shortstop scattered hits all over Magnum Stadium to pace the 12-7 Detroit Demons victory over the Bronx Bombers. Bronx skipper Jeremiah Coggins told reporters in the press room that "Arias deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Arias hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Gabriel Arias doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
