PoorBoys Move on to Round 2 Monday, October 6th , 2025 The Montreal PoorBoys have cruised through the Round 1, easily sweeping away the Phoenix Firebirds by a count of 2-0. The final blow came with a 5-3 triumph at Chase Field, which sends Montreal on to the Round 2. "There's a lot of focus from our team right now, up and down that bench and in the clubhouse," said Joe Musgrove. For the series, Musgrove had a 1.29 ERA over 7 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record. He was named series MVP for his efforts. The Montreal PoorBoys will play against the Tampa Bay Bandits in the next round. Tampa Bay had a bye in the Round 1.
