Explorers Send Williamson to Oakland Saturday, April 4th , 2026 Chicago and Oakland announced today in a joint press conference that 25-year old minor league 3B Ben Williamson will be going to the Roses in exchange for 35-year old C Salvador Perez. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. For his 1741-game career Perez has hit .262 with 1692 hits, 930 RBIs, and 266 home runs. |
