Bears John Means Down and Out for Year
Sunday, June 14th , 2026
When Denver reliever John Means was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Bears-Explorers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Means had sustained a damaged elbow ligament and will be out for about 13 months.
To this point in the season he has had 1 save. Means has made 12 relief appearances, tossed 47 innings and struck out 36 with a record of no wins and 3 losses.
