Freddie Freeman Gets Hit Number 2000 Thursday, June 25th , 2026 It was a banner day for Freddie Freeman, who collected his 2000th hit in the Phoenix 7-2 win over Pittsburgh. Freeman went 1-for-3 in the game as both Firebirds and Ironmen fans cheered Freeman when he reached base after his hit. "It feels great to get #2000," Freeman said afterward, "especially since we won the game." Freeman has played in 1897 games with a .284 career batting average and 2000 hits.
