Setback for Boston and Anthony Santander Sunday, June 28th , 2026 Anthony Santander was taking it slow and easy nursing a strained abdominal muscle back to good health, when he suffered a setback. According to a Boston team official, "Anthony was making excellent progress and it appeared he would return to the squad ahead of schedule. But then he reinjured it in a light workout." Club doctors now say the 31-year-old Minutemen right fielder will be out at least another 5 weeks. Thus far in 2026, Santander is hitting .189 with 8 home runs, 27 RBIs, 16 runs scored and has compiled a .265 OBP. |
