That's because the veteran 36-year-old first baseman torched opposing pitchers and has won the Federal League Batter of the Month award. Freeman batted .342, hit 9 home runs, drove in 22 runs, scored 24 times and compiled a .375 on-base percentage. This year, Freeman has socked 86 hits in 322 at-bats for a .267 average with 16 home runs. He is getting on base at a .303 pace and his totals also include 51 RBIs and 45 runs scored. |
