Texas's Diaz Gets UL Player of the Week Monday, July 27th , 2026 Not every ball that came off Yandy Diaz's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Texas Vipers. For his exploits, Diaz was named this week's Union League Player of the Week award. The Texas third baseman put up 15 hits in 31 at-bats and 2 home runs while hitting .484 with 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season, Diaz has 12 home runs and a .278 batting average. |
