The initial diagnosis is a damaged elbow ligament, and he is expected to be out for up to 14 months. It happened while Peralta was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." This season, Peralta has logged no saves.
