Bronx Loses Jose Altuve Thursday, May 22nd , 2025 When Jose Altuve was hurt against the Pittsburgh Ironmen, the Bronx Bombers were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 35-year-old left fielder suffered a torn back muscle colliding with a player at a base in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Altuve would miss 4 months of the season. This year, Altuve has collected a .231 batting average to date with 36 hits in 156 at-bats, 15 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 22 times. He has played in 41 games. |
