Season May Be Over for Spirit Toglia Friday, May 30th , 2025
The doctors have spoken and Michael Toglia of the Los Angeles Spirit didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old first baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Toglia sustained his season-ending injury during the Baltimore Wildcats game yesterday at Toyota Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Los Angeles medical staff reported Toglia had a torn posterior cruciate ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.
Currently Toglia is batting .221 with 9 home runs, 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored.
