Gordon Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, June 4th , 2025 Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Nick Gordon walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Denver Bears in a career day at Coors Field, but it was the Montreal PoorBoys who won the ballgame, 10-8. "My swing was really, really there," Gordon said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-6 and losing is better than 0-for-6 and losing, right?" Nick Gordon singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Ken Waldichuk in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
