Vientos Batters Oakland Big Time
Thursday, June 5th , 2025
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Mark Vientos is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Oakland Roses at Fan's Ballyard. The monster effort from the 25-year-old first baseman helped the Cincinnati Stars get the win, 11-5.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Roses manager Heath Hunt. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Mark Vientos hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Spencer Schwellenbach in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year, Vientos has collected a .277 batting average to date with 64 hits in 231 at-bats, 44 RBIs, 12 home runs and scored 42 times. He has played in 56 games.
