Emerson Makes Record Book, Slams 4 HR
|
Colt Emerson of the Prince William Panthers had a history-making game against the Kingston Buccaneers, clobbering 4 home runs in an awesome display of power in the 11-2 Panthers victory.
The Prince William shortstop, who leads the Car in runs scored with 71, went 4-for-5, had 8 RBIs and scored 4 times in the game.
"There have been a few times when I consciously tried to hit one out," said Emerson later. "It doesn't often work, but it did today for the last one. I guess this day was just meant to be."
Colt Emerson flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Donye Evans in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Hayden Seig in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Ryan Weiss in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Paul Gervase in the 9th.
So far this season, Emerson is hitting .332 with 12 home runs, 48 RBIs and 71 runs scored. He has 90 hits in 271 at-bats and a .433 OBP.
