Stars Stumble, Lose to Dragons
The San Francisco Dragons got a strong performance from pitcher Framber Valdez, who stymied the Cincinnati offense en route to a win, 10-2, at Pac Bell Park. The winner was Valdez. He threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Tyler Wells. The win gives San Francisco a season record of 33-21.

Ronald Acuna Jr. had a big bases-clearing double for the Dragons in the bottom of the fourth inning. With San Francisco leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 30-year old right-handed pitcher Tyler Wells and swatted a double to left. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dragons ahead, 6-0.

"Framber was really on it," said San Francisco manager Joe Turnage. "He's got a feel for playing with the hitter front-to-back, side-to-side."
