Robson Blisters Newport News
Jacob Robson of the Dukes was unstoppable in his team's 12-2 victory over the Newport News Destroyers at Yellowjackets Ballpark. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

"Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Alexandria center fielder after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will."

Jacob Robson hit a solo-shot off Chen Zhong-Ao Zhuang in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Diego Castillo in the 9th.

Thus far in 2026, Robson is hitting .317 with 11 home runs, 44 RBIs, 53 runs scored and has compiled a .452 OBP.
