Sting Win Squeaker, 4-3, Over Stars
|
The Seattle Sting defeated the Cincinnati Stars, 4-3, in Union League action at Great American Ball Park. Seattle pitcher Zac Gallen had a standout performance. The save went to Ryan Brasier, his 1st this season. Seattle raised its record to 36-31 with the win.
Seattle needed the clutch hitting of Willy Adames to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Sting on top, 4-3. For the game, Adames had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"Both teams played hard," said Seattle manager Jesus Cardiel.
