Sting Upend Hitmen, 5-2
The Seattle Sting picked up a win at RFK Stadium, taking down the Washington Hitmen, 5-2. Starting pitcher Corbin Burnes was a big reason why. By defeating Washington, the first-place Sting improved to 42-34.

Seattle won the game in part because of Parker Meadows. The center fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Sting ahead, 4-1. For the game, Meadows had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"That's what I get paid to do," said Burnes.
