Bombers Get Past Carolina for 5-4 Win
The Bronx Bombers defeated the Carolina Riptides, 5-4, in Union League action at Magnum Stadium. Josh Bell pulled his weight. The 14-year veteran went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Bronx reliever Caleb Ferguson picked up the win, raising his record to 2-6. Phil Bickford was tagged with the loss. The Bombers now have a record of 49-57 with the win over Carolina.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Bell hit a slider from Phil Bickford for a solo home run. The Bombers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Bell said.
