Austin Skunked by Beck, 2-0
|
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Austin Bats as starter Tristan Beck shut them out, 2-0, at Bats Stadium. The Kansas City pitcher struck out 4 and walked 1 while allowing 4 hits.
"Beck was good but he wasn't flawless," Austin manager said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Kansas City, but this is on us."
This season, Beck has compiled a 4-1 record with a 4.66 ERA.
