Montero on the Attack, Player of the Week

It was an extraordinary week for Elehuris Montero of the Austin Bats. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .538, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the International League. Last week Montero went 14-for-26, racked up 2 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 8 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Austin first baseman.
Thus far this season in 98 games, Montero is batting .357 with 29 home runs, 99 RBIs and 73 runs scored. He has 143 hits in 400 at-bats.
