Fremont Loses Braxton Ashcraft

Braxton Ashcraft of the Fremont Dukes was injured in today's game against Binghamton and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn labrum, and he is expected to be out for up to 9-10 months. It happened while Ashcraft was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
This season, Ashcraft has worked 96 innings with 46 strikeouts en route to a 6-2 record and a 3.75 ERA.
