The Merced Marines first baseman tore up the Lancaster Jets to the tune of 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Marines Ballpark. The offensive onslaught from Jacob powered the 6-5 Marines win.

"Jacob was a tough out," Lancaster manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
