San Bernadino's Antoine Kelly Injured

Antoine Kelly of the San Bernadino 66ers was injured in today's game against Flagstaff and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is bone chips in his elbow, and he is expected to be out for up to 6 months. It happened while Kelly was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
For the year, Kelly has earned 0 saves, made 9 relief appearances, fanned 31 hitters in 24.2 innings and posted an ERA of 2.19 and a 1-1 record.

Colmenarez Socks It to Pacifics, Cracks 5 Hits

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Carlos Colmenarez. Colmenarez went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Mountain View pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Kachinas Ballpark, he had a 5-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Flagstaff Kachinas had a win, 18-5, over the Pacifics.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Carlos Colmenarez grounded out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
In this current campaign Colmenarez is hitting at a .320 clip with 3 home runs and 31 RBIs.
