Lancaster-Flagstaff Brawl, Schubart and Ulloa Suspended

Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Lancaster-Flagstaff contest at Kachinas Ballpark. The Jets Nolan Schubart and the Kachinas Fidel Ulloa will have to sit out 3 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl.
This season in 16 games, Schubart has hit at a .276 clip with 16 hits, 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
Ulloa has taken the mound for 9 relief appearances this season, nailing down 5 saves while notching a 1-2 record with a 10.57 ERA. The Flagstaff reliever has limited opposing batters to a .303 batting average.

Riverside Starting Pitcher Out

When Hiro Wyatt was hurt against the Merced Marines, the Riverside Imperials were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 21-year-old starting pitcher suffered a sore shoulder throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Wyatt would miss 5 months of the season.
This season, Wyatt has compiled a 0-1 mark with a 4.57 ERA.

5-Hit Clinic by Cedeno in Mountain View Win

It was a sensational day at the plate for Leandro Cedeno as he led the charge to a nifty 5-2 win over the Bloom. The Mountain View first baseman was pure misery for the San Mateo pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Cedeno put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Bloom, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Leandro Cedeno singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Derek West in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Derek West in the 4th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This season, Cedeno has hit at a .406 clip with 15 RBIs, 7 home runs and 13 runs scored. He has played in 17 games.
