Fremont's Cluff Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Jackson Cluff knows as well as anyone that in baseball, the biggest contracts go to the biggest hitters. At Ballpark of Fremont, he made his case to be considered among that group.

The 28-year-old shortstop hammered 5 hits in 5 chances, though the remarkable effort came even as his Fremont Jammers fell, 8-7, to the Lancaster Jets.

"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," Jets manager told BNN sportswriters after the game. "Thankfully, we were able to do enough elsewhere that Cluff wasn't the difference."

Jackson Cluff singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Garvin Alston in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
