Szykowny Sizzles -- Smokes Danger for 5 Hits
Charlie Szykowny did a number on the Danger in the 19-7 St. Lucie victory -- and the number was 5. The Sand Gnats third baseman banged out 5 hits in 7 at-bats at Ballpark of Dunedin to lead his club past the Dunedin Danger.

"I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done."

Charlie Szykowny struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Joey Oakie in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, tripled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

Szykowny is currently hitting at a .371 pace with 11 home runs and 61 RBIs.
