Acuna Jr. Slugs Dragons to 6-0 Win
The San Francisco Dragons dealt the Washington Hitmen a 6-0 loss at Pac Bell Park. Ronald Acuna Jr., who led the FL in slugging percentage with .537 in 2022, was the star on offense. He belted 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Louie Varland earned the win to go to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, with no walks and 4 strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work. The Hitmen fall to 4-6 and continue their wobbly start to the 2025 season.

With San Francisco leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Acuna Jr. hit a slider from Simeon Woods Richardson for a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Dragons ahead, 2-0.

Said losing manager John Anderson: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."
