Dragons Drop Diamonds, 10-5
|
Angel Stadium of Anaheim was the site for Federal action featuring the Anaheim Diamonds and San Francisco Dragons.
The San Francisco Dragons picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, dropping the Anaheim Diamonds, 10-5. Blake Snell, who led the FL in ERA with 2.82 in 2019, was the difference-maker. Snell got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 3 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Jazz Chisholm had a big 2-run home run for the Dragons in the top of the second inning. With San Francisco leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 33-year old right-handed pitcher Ben Lively and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Dragons on top, 5-0.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Dragons manager Joe Turnage.
With the loss, Anaheim falls to 8-8.
