Great Stroke: Pitelli Gets 5 Hits
|
San Antonio shortstop Dominic Pitelli had a day to remember, 5-for-7 against the Springfield Sluggers at Sluggers Ballpark as the Vipers picked up a win, 11-9.
"He was patient up there," San Antonio skipper told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Pitelli has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Dominic Pitelli grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Brooks Crawford in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
To date, Pitelli has collected 114 hits for a .344 average. He has posted 7 home runs, scored 64 runs and driven in 54 runs.
