Hit Parade: Collins Pops 5 Hits
Charleston first baseman Darryl Collins had a big day at Chanticleers Ballpark against the Annapolis Argonauts. The 23-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 14-5 Chanticleers triumph over Annapolis.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Collins said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Darryl Collins hit a two-run home run off Michael Forret in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run triple in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Collins is batting .321 this season in 57 games with 3 home runs, 35 RBIs and 31 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 162 at-bats.
