Maryland Helpless Against Clarke, Lose 13-0
All went well for Chris Clarke of the Charleston Chanticleers as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 13-0, over the Maryland Terrapins, limiting them to 3 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about Clarke on the day.

"Chris's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Chanticleers manager . "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."

In the contest, the Charleston right-hander rang up 11 and surrendered no walks.

"He didn't give us any second chances," said Terrapins manager . "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."

His record this year is 9-10 in 27 starts and Clarke has a 4.26 ERA.
