Myrtle Beach Takes Round 1
Myrtle Beach Suns won a nail-biting series against the Shreveport Captains 3-2, wrapping up the Round 1 finale 6-4 at Suns Ballpark.

Suns first baseman Robbie Tenerowicz was named the series MVP.

He batted .333, drove in 6 runs and scored 4 to lead Myrtle Beach into the next round of play.

"Robbie was real solid for us, real solid," said Suns manager . "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time."

The Myrtle Beach Suns will play against the Birmingham Bombers in the next round. Birmingham won their series against the Havana Conquistadors 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes..
