Conquistadors Garcia Booms 3 HRs

Hitting three home runs in a game is usually something to celebrate, but there was no celebration to be found at Montgomery Grounds after the hitting barrage from Anthony Garcia. The Havana Conquistadors dropped the contest, 12-10, to the Moore Tornadoes, leaving Garcia with only a historical footnote as consolation.
Anthony is blessed with a natural home run swing so he gets the ball up in the air real quickly," Havana manager said after the loss. "It's just a shame we couldn't win the game, too. I'm sure it spoils the day a little for him."
Along with putting three in the stands, Garcia went 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," he told reporters after the game. "Mostly you'll fail if you really try to hit one, but today I tried on the last one."
Anthony Garcia struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Julian Aguiar in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Charlie Barnes in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Tyler Mattison in the 9th.
So far this season, Garcia has 35 home runs and a .280 batting average.

Clearwater Beach's Braun Injured, Out of Lineup

The season is apparently over for Lucas Braun. The Clearwater Beach Pirates medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 8 months with a torn labrum. Braun was hurt in the game against Jacksonville while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
This season, Braun has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 1-2 won-lost mark and a 7.02 ERA. In pitching 33.1 innings, he has totaled 28 strikeouts and 12 walks.
