Homers Advance to Round 2
|
The Medicine Hat Homers have swept the Eureka Sea Dogs and are on to the Round 2. Medicine Hat won 7-4 today at Homers Ballpark to clinch the Round 1.
"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Medicine Hat center fielder Lonnie White, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."
White won the award with a .455 batting average and a .538 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Medicine Hat Homers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Silver Bow County Ospreys - Great Falls Gunslingers series. Great Falls leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
