A's Heading to Round 2
Drake Baldwin has led his Sacramento A's to a Round 1 victory.

Sacramento's catcher was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 3-1 and eliminating the Portland Blaze.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series."

The club advanced to the Round 2 with a 8-7 triumph at A's Ballpark in the deciding game.

Baldwin was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .438 average, as well as 3 home runs and 10 RBI.

The Sacramento A's will play against the New Orleans Greys in the next round. New Orleans won their series against the Albuquerque Sidewinders 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
