Albuquerque-Omaha Brawl, Wagner and Sanchez Suspended
Saturday, July 5th , 2025
Will Wagner of the Albuquerque Sidewinders and Sixto Sanchez of the Omaha Rangers will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Sidewinders-Rangers game at Rangers Ballpark.

Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Wagner and Sanchez will begin serving them soon.

So far this year, Wagner is batting .299 with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs.

This year in 15 starts, Sanchez has recorded 5 wins and absorbed 4 losses. He has pitched 78 innings, allowed 92 hits, struck out 64 and has a 5.65 ERA.

Florial Belts 3 HR for Storm
Wednesday, July 2nd , 2025
It was a special day for Estevan Florial, but less so for the Salinas Storm.

Florial slammed three home runs against the Mississauga Trappers, but the Trappers outhit him and got the win by a score of 12-5.

"Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em."

The Salinas right fielder finished the day at Storm Ballpark with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.

Estevan Florial hit a solo-shot off Angel Rondon in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Angel Rondon in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Adam Leverett in the 8th.

Florial is hitting .329 this year with 14 home runs, 32 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He has 48 hits in 146 at-bats, 13 walks and a .387 on-base percentage. Florial has played in 45 games.
