Trouble in New Orleans, Ragans Suffers Setback
Saturday, November 1st , 2025
All is not well with Cole Ragans in his recovery from a torn rotator cuff.
The 27-year-old Greys reliever has already reached some significant steps in his rehabilitation, but his manager said that the team will continue to be cautious with Ragans and take his progression one day at a time, especially after the setback yesterday.
"Yesterday he was feeling good but he didn't do a lot on the field," he said. "Today he was supposed to be on the field doing light stuff and then gradually start working right back up. I think he overdid it."
A post-workout examination revealed that Ragans had re-injured himself and would now miss at least 2-3 months because of it.
Ragans has made 44 appearances in his career, putting up a 15-13 record. He has tossed 249 innings and struck out 194. Batters have hit .246 against him, his lifetime ERA stands at 4.16 and he has no saves.
