Bloom Heading to Round 2
The San Mateo Bloom "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Round 1 and eliminating the Merced Marines, according to series MVP Raynel Delgado.

"This is the big stage, we're off to the Round 2 and looking towards the Round 2," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."

San Mateo won the final game 13-4, to wrap up the series 3-1.

Delgado led his team to the series win by putting up a .667 average, with a .750 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The San Mateo Bloom don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Bernadino 66ers - Fremont Jammers series. Fremont leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
