A's Advance to Round 2
The Sacramento A's said they felt the Round 1 with the Hawaii Typhoon would go the distance.

But it didn't end up being that difficult, as Sacramento advanced to the Round 2 with a 3-1 score, to clinch the series 3-1 at A's Ballpark.

"Whether it goes to the final game or not, we faced a good team and got the job done. It's a big momentum boost for us," said Nick Martini, who was named series MVP. "We're all feeling good about our chances to win the Round 2."

For the series, Martini hit .385 with a .529 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Sacramento A's don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New Orleans Greys - Albuquerque Sidewinders series. New Orleans leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
