Big Day with Bat: Serrano 6-for-6
6 hits in a game has always been a big milestone in baseball -- 6 hits in a game gets a player's name in the record book, win or lose. Eli Serrano got his name recorded today, but the Chattanooga Wildcats picked up the win at Wildcats Ballpark, topping the Pulaski Ironclads, 24-21.

"He bushwhacked us," said winning manager . "We were lucky to come out ahead."

Serrano, who is tied for 6th in the Appy in total bases with 73, spoke to reporters in the clubhouse following the game, saying his nerves only set in once he was on the cusp of the milestone.

"I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this could be a once-in-a-lifetime day," the center fielder said. "I think the coaches could tell I was going to be ready to swing at anything close. That's why my third base coach told me to calm down and wait for a good pitch. That got me back on track."

Eli Serrano walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Pham in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.

Serrano is currently batting .462 with 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 42 hits in 91 at-bats.
