Snakeyes Deal Firebirds 3-2 Defeat
|
In a low-scoring contest between the San Diego Snakeyes and the Phoenix Firebirds, Robbie Ray was the X factor. The San Diego left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. San Diego is now 73-83, Phoenix 77-79.
Kevin Alcantara, who is rated as the 85th best prospect by BNN, had a direct impact on the outcome. Alcantara contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put San Diego up, 1-0.
"Robbie did what Robbie does," said San Diego manager Kelly Woolsey.
