Jung Goes on Rampage Against Bulldogs Wednesday, April 8th , 2026 Chicago third baseman Jace Jung had a big day at Eddie Matthews Stadium against the Georgia Bulldogs. The 25-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 8-4 Explorers triumph over Georgia. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Jung said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Jace Jung hit a solo-shot off Nestor Cortes in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Coleman Crow in the 9th.
