Simpson Belts 5 Hits Saturday, April 11th , 2026 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Chandler Simpson -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Sony Park and paced the 5-1 Hogs win over the Anaheim Diamonds. After his dynamite batting performance, the Toronto left fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Chandler Simpson singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, Simpson is batting .375 with no home runs, 2 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 12 hits in 32 at-bats, 2 walks and a .412 OBP. Simpson has played in 7 games.
