5-Hit Blitz by Cincinnati's Crow-Armstrong
Thursday, May 7th , 2026
Cincinnati center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong could do no wrong in his team's 16-1 win over the Phalanx, as he collected 5 hits.

"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Phalanx skipper Stephen Esterhazy said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."

Crow-Armstrong agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.

"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."

Pete Crow-Armstrong singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Evan Sisk in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Carmen Mlodzinski in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Mike Yastrzemski in the 8th.

This season, Crow-Armstrong is swinging the bat at a .287 pace. He has hit 11 home runs and scored 20 times, while driving in 23. His on-base percentage is .319 and he has played in 30 games.
