Bohm Slams 5 Hits for Montreal Monday, June 29th , 2026 It was almost a perfect day for Alec Bohm. The Montreal third baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The PoorBoys lost to the Chicago Explorers, 9-8. Bohm told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." Montreal manager Garrett Woolsey told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Alec Bohm doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
