Cruz Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Sunday, October 11th , 2026 It seemed San Francisco Dragons shortstop Oneil Cruz could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right. The Dragons fell against the Washington Hitmen by the score of 15-4. Cruz did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Washington prevailed at RFK Stadium. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Cruz said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Oneil Cruz singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Erik Miller in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. During the current season Cruz is batting at a .203 clip with 13 home runs and 33 RBIs. He has played in 94 games and scored 47 times. View Boxscore View Game Log |
