Super Swinger -- Lopez Slams 5 Hits Thursday, April 30th , 2026 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Providence's Nicky Lopez made it happen against the Admirals. Everything came together at the plate for the 31-year-old second baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Friars triumph, 11-7, at Ironmen Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Lopez said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Nicky Lopez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Blake Gillespie in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
