Ottawa Halts Encarnacion-Strand's Hitting Steak Tuesday, June 16th , 2026 It was a doubly miserable day for Christian Encarnacion-Strand of the Hershey Bears, as he saw his 25-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 8-2, to the Ottawa Lynx at Ballpark of Hershey. The 26-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Lynx. "Anyone on a 25-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Ottawa manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Thus far this year, Encarnacion-Strand is batting .359 with 17 home runs, 51 RBIs and 51 runs scored. |
