Diaz Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Wilkes-Barre Scranton Tuesday, June 16th , 2026 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Jordan Diaz as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 5 at-bats at the hands of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Red Barons. It wasn't all bad for the 25-year-old third baseman and the Austin Bats however, as they defeated Wilkes-Barre Scranton, 6-5, at Bats Stadium. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Diaz laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This year, Diaz has hit at a .349 clip with 59 hits, 9 home runs, 33 RBIs and 36 runs scored. |
