Ottawa Second Baseman Picked INT Player of the Week Monday, August 24th , 2026 Ottawa fans have something to crow about today as Ottawa second baseman Jonathan India nabbed the International League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said India. He posted a .478 average (11-for-23) this past week with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 9 runs scored. This season, India has banged out 12 hits in 28 at-bats for a .429 average with 4 home runs. He is getting on base at a .529 pace and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
